Evelyn James gained her qualification from St John's Central College Cork in 2001 and since has worked as a kitchen and bathroom designer (where she met Vince!). From 2004 to 2009 she has focused on comtemporary design working for Tony Walker and opening the first Ligne Roset store in Scotland. More recently Evelyn has produced one or two scheme's which more than hint at the influence of her many trips to Asia- think tropical contemporary come Mandarin Oriental.

Key influnces include- Norman Foster, Kelly Hoppen, Kelly Wearstler, Patrick Jouin, Pascal Mourgue, Peter Maly, Eric Jourdan, Philippe Starck, Hannes Wettstein, Le Corbusier, Eileen Gray.
